Job description

Responsible for the full operation of the newly established Captive Finance Shared Service to support the Panasonic Group in Singapore.

  • Manage and supervise the daily accounting operations in the newly established Shared Service Centre for all the 3 key processes, PTP, OTC and RTR
  • Stabilize and make continuous process improvement for further standardization, productivity gains and instil better SOX compliance and strong internal controls
  • Manage the overall financial reporting and financial closing of the Panasonic legal entity ( comprising multiple Business Units) for better efficiency and compliance with IFRS and Group reporting requirements
  • Deliver services in accordance to the Service Level Agreement to support the Business Units
  • Monitor and perform in accordance to Key Performance Indicators set for the Shared Service Centre
  • Provide finance leadership to the group entities in Singapore and the Region, in particular on Shared Service matters, including Governance and Compliance
  • Review, update and put in place policies and procedures
  • Proactively innovate and develop new shared service needs based on market dynamics with practical value-add to the business
  • Lead initiatives and participate in Finance projects
Job Requirements
  • Recognized Accountancy degree or ACCA and equivalent
  • At least 15 years relevant experience with 10 years managerial/supervisory experience
  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre with a regional presence
  • Possess good thought leadership and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in process improvement initiatives and internal control
  • Good team-player with strong leadership qualities
